Going back two generations my family has been involved in motor racing, so I it was only natural that at some point I would become interested in racing myself.  At the age of six my brother and I bought our first go kart for $50 from a pawn shop and after terrorizing the neighborhood for a number of years my parents finally decided let me run on a real race track.  When I turned nine I started my first race at local track and finished 6th.  From there I continued to race go-karts for 10 more years. During the 10 years in karting I won many State Championships and a handful of WKA national events.

            When I was seventeen I went to live in Italy, on my own, to race full time for a factory team, competing all over Europe in the European and World Championship series.  I am one of only four Americans to have qualified for the World Championships in the last 25 years

After the two years in Europe I had reached the point where I needed to make the move to cars.  At the time I desperately wanted to stay in Europe and move up to British Formula Ford, however I never was able to come up with the funding.  So I returned to the States, where I won a Skip Barber Karting Scholarship for the 2001 season. For the next two years I continued to purse open wheel racing, running in a number of Formula Ford 2000 pro races, as well as Formula Mazda.

Although I competed in various Grand-Am and American Le Mans Series races from 2001 to 2003 it wasn’t until 2004 that I began racing sports cars full time. Since then I have had the opportunity to drive a variety of cars, including sedans, GT cars, as well as prototypes in the American Le Mans Series (runner up in the LMP2 driver’s championship in 2004) and Daytona prototypes in the Rolex series, plus the Grand-Am Cup Series.

In 2005 I was the only road racer to reach the final 25 in the Roush “Gong Show” which to date has been my only experience driving in the world of NASCAR.  In addition to scoring multiple wins in both Grand-Am and the American Le Mans Series, I also had the opportunity of qualifying an LMP2 car at Le Mans in 2006, which was an experience in itself.

 In the 2005-2009 seasons I had the opportunity to continue racing full time in the Grand-Am Koni Challenge Grand Sport class. I also competed in the Grand-Am Rolex Series in both the Daytona Prototype and GT classes on a part time basis, and during the past 5 seasons posted 5 wins, finished on the podium 20 times and posted 33 top 5 finishes as well as finishing 2nd in the Koni Challenge final points in 2008 and 2009.
